I guess I should probably start off the blog with a little introduction on myself & explaining why I'm doing this?
Well... YO MY NEW HOMIES.
(I like to think that I'm cool, hip & partially gangsta.)
My name is Sarah & I'm currently 23. I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but I grew up & currently live in West Palm Beach, Florida.
I didn't grow up strong or with healthy habits & didn't have things handed to me. I've had to work my ass off (Yes this is a rated R blog, if that bothers you then you're in the wrong place.) to put on muscle & get where I am.
With that being said, I first stepped into a gym when I was in high school & had ZERO CLUE WHAT I WAS DOING. I stuck between the cardio & weight machines because nobody looked friendly enough to answer questions. LOL.
A couple months down the road I found out about CrossFit & let's just say I was completely hooked after the first class- friendly faces, coaches that wanted to see me grow, along with a welcoming community. I didn't realize what an impact this would have on me until years down the road & I am forever grateful to my 17 year-old self for walking into that gym for the first time.
Fast forward to now- I ran collegiate track for 4 years at a small NAIA school in Missouri, earned my B.S. in Biology & now am back in the good ol' sunshine state trying to chase down dreams.
My passion is to help you create a healthy & sustainable lifestyle and be the friendly face you see when you walk into the gym for the first time.
My goal is to be the guide I needed when I was younger.
So, for SO LONG I've wanted to start up a blog... but there's always the fear's of putting yourself out there, rejection & not feeling ready. I've finally come to the realization that if I wait for the perfect moment to start, then I'll be waiting forever because the perfect time doesn't exist. It's a self-made mental roadblock to stop you from starting, because our society would rather you stay in their perfectly drawn lines than create your own. & That is why I'm starting this blog.
To challenge standards, tell my story & be an educational resource for you.
In this blog I'm going to talk about topics ranging from general health, nutrition, fitness & mindset. It may become opinionated at times (because I am human & can get very passionate about certain topics) but my promise is to provide you with solid & proven data whenever I can.
I don't think I can thank you enough for taking the time out of your day to read this & support me. If you ever have questions, I'm always just a click away.
