Physical vs. Performance Goals

The moment you shift your focus from physical goals to performance goals is when you start to see progress.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Why? Your physical body takes time to change. Not 1 week, not 4 weeks, but rather months and sometimes years.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

& Unless you have a ton of patience, it can get really discouraging if all you're thinking about is getting abs.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

BUT- If you shift that focus to performance goals like improving your mobility and increasing your strength, guess what happens as a by-product? Your body changes without you even thinking about it.

You start to put on muscle AND learn to enjoy the process because you're not obsessing over what you look like.

So put down your ego and pick up a pair of dumbbells. 👏🏻
